Presidential Campaign Moves to New Hampshire
Statement of NOW PAC Chair Kim Gandy
January 4, 2008
With an extraordinary turnout, doubling the participation in 2004, Iowa Democrats made it clear that they are energized and ready to put a Democrat back in the White House. We are seeing that kind of dedication, energy and commitment from members and supporters across the nation, and we are determined to pull out all the stops to bring progressive leadership and change to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
NOW leaders and activists will be volunteering their time in state after state to educate voters on the issues, mobilize supporters and turn out first-time voters for Hillary Clinton.
Senator Clinton is leading in the polls nationwide, something no other U.S. woman has ever done, and we are proud to be part of her groundbreaking campaign to change the face of politics in this country.
The United States needs strong, experienced and principled leadership to restore faith in our government and repair its credibility at home and abroad, and to end the destructive policies that have eroded women's rights and civil liberties, and increased injustice and inequality in our society. That leader is Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
