2008 Elections : NOW PACs Profile
Marge Krupp (D-Wis., 1st District)
NOW PAC is pleased to endorse Marge Krupp in her bid for the Congressional seat in the 1st District of Wisconsin. A defender of reproductive rights and advocate for women's economic opportunities, Krupp has pledged to join the struggle for women's equality in the face of regressive policies.
Her concern for working families has prompted her to place the rights of working women foremost among her priorities. She believes that accurate sex education is the key to minimizing abortions and providing women with "true economic choices", and will fight to roll back the policies that have stifled sex education and prevention. Krupp strongly supports a woman's right to choose, and has pledged that, if elected to Congress, she will always vote to protect women's reproductive rights.
Leaving her job in marketing for the campaign trail, Krupp is well-experienced in budgets and finances. She has a B.A. in chemical process engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and an MBA in marketing in finance from Northwestern University. In her successful tenure at Abbott Laboratories, Krupp showed her considerable managerial skills as well as her extensive education.
Krupp's lifetime in the 1st District has taught her that the needs of working families are not being addressed by current policies. Pointing to the Bush administration's disastrous policies on healthcare, the economy, and the Iraq War, Krupp underscores the need for a living wage and affordable healthcare and child care so that working men and women can "provide for their children and be productive members of our society."
If elected to Congress, Marge Krupp promises to be a strong voice for change.
