2010 Elections : NOW PACs Profile

Beth Krom (D-Calif., 48th Congressional District)

Beth Krom

Beth Krom

NOW PAC is pleased to support Beth Krom, a candidate for Congress in California's 48th Congressional District. She is a feminist who has earned a reputation as a community leader and won five elections to the Irvine City Council and as Mayor of Irvine -- winning several by wide margins as evidence of her effectiveness. Krom brought her experience as a teacher, a business owner, a community volunteer and a mother to her work as an elected official.

Beth Krom stands strong on feminist issues, and isn't afraid to say she's pro-choice. She will also work to achieve health care access for all because she whole-heartedly believes that all Americans should have access to basic health resources at an affordable price and that a pre-existing condition should not bar a person from access to healthcare.

Krom will advocate for the rights of all American citizens -- including the LGBT community -- and believes our Constitution must fulfill its promise of equal protection and due process by eliminating the last remnants of legally sanctioned discrimination.

Always quick to point out that "Buildings don't make communities, people make communities," Beth Krom has earned a solid reputation as a community leader by working collaboratively with the business community, the education community, the civic community and the non-profit community. She is "results-oriented" and is willing to put in the effort to work with all constituencies in pursuing workable solutions.

NOW PAC is excited to work with Krom in her race for Congress.
